E3 2013 Preview: Foots on with the Stinky Footboard

I know what you’re thinking: Our video gaming skills are limited by the fact that we only have two arms. I get it, I really do. It’s a serious issue. What if we could have another limb to help our gaming? Our feet aren’t doing anything while we game. Hell, we got two for them – why not? This is the how the Stinky Footboard came to be.

You literally use this piece of hardware with your foot. Think of it of four buttons that are completely programmable/bindable. With simple software, you can set these four buttons to do whatever you want for individual games. On top of that, the software will remember these binds each time you start up different games. Even when you’re not in games, you can use this four buttons to do whatever you want on your desktop.

If you think this sounds wonky, so did I. For this very reason I felt like I needed to give it a try. I played Battlefield 3 with Stinky Footboard integration and I have to admit, it was pretty fun. I died instantly the first time I tried it, but after that I got used to it. With the hardware, I could sprint, crouch, and switch weapons. Crouching stood out to me because instead of a toggle, I was crouching as long as I held down that button – I felt immersed in the action.

On top of all that, you can swap out the three different types of screws to maximize your foot pressure prowess. So find what sort of pressure you like and roll with it. When using this USB device, you want to sit at a 90 degrees angle to maximize performance. Come July, you can get the Stinky Footboard for $120.
