Precursor Games announced today that the Kickstarter for Shadow of the Eternals will relaunch later this month.
"We’re very excited to finally be able to announce the relaunch date of our Kickstarter campaign, going live on July 25," the update reads.
"We really want to thank our community and followers for the unwavering support and patience over the past few weeks — it’s been a huge inspiration and motivator for us. Your feedback has been instrumental in many ways throughout the process of creating the new campaign, and we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for you all."
Early last month, the developer told fans that it was pulling the campaign for the Eternal Darkness spiritual successor from both Kickstarter and the company's website. It planned to reintroduce more unified crowdfunding at an undisclosed date, which we now know is July 25.
The question is, how will fans respond, especially those who already donated to the project? All previous contributions were refunded, but both campaigns were struggling to gain momentum. At the time of the closing, Precursor said there are "a host of a new, exciting opportunities that will make the game better than we envisioned."
If funded, Shadow of the Eternals will release on PC and Wii U. Nintendo is working closely with Precursor on the title.
