FIFA 13 generated $70 million in digital revenue sales in Q1 of fiscal year 2014, a period which stretches from April 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013. The figure was part of EA's financial earnings report today, in which the company confirmed $495 million in non-GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) net revenue.
EA noted that the game's digital sales — which may include both FIFA Ultimate Team and digital game sales — amounted to a 92% increase of FIFA 12's digital sales in Q1 2013.
In other EA soccer-related news, digital net revenue for FIFA Online 3, the company's free-to-play MMO soccer game, grew 88% in the first quarter compared to FIFA Online 2 in the prior year. FIFA Online 3 was also the number one online sports game in Korea based on revenue and traffic.
