Assassin’s Creed 4: Freedom Cry DLC out today

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's Freedom Cry downloadable content is releasing today and should be — if not already — available on Xbox LIVE and PSN.

The new content puts players in the boots of Adéwalé, a former slave who is now second-in-command for the game's main story protagonist Captain Edward Kenway. Set 15 years after the events of the main campaign, Adéwalé is forced to face his past and sets out to free slaves.

Freedom Cry spans nine missions totaling more than four hours of new content. It can be purchased on its own, but is also included in the Assassin's Creed 4 Season Pass, which also offers the Kraken Ship Pack, additional single-player missions, weapons, skins, and collectibles.
