Not to sound pompous, but I find Dragonrider to be among the easier bosses in Dark Souls II. On top of that, you can summon one of the best NPCs period. Sure, yea, I’ll admit, I have a bit of a man crush on Masterless Glencour – even if I butcher his name. The guy is beast and will totally tank Dragonrider if you need him to. Just watch out for Dragonrider’s horizontal swings, they can clip you even if you’re behind him. Before the fight, kill the giants around to raise the platform so you don’t roll off. Or, trick Dragonrider to fall off, either option is glorious.
