Uncharted 4 game director leaves Naughty Dog for League of Legends studio

Uncharted 4's game director Justin Richmond has left developer Naughty Dog to work at Riot Games, the studio behind the wildly popular MOBA League of Legends. He had been with Naughty Dog since 2008 where he worked as game director on Unhcarted 3: Drake's Deception and oversaw development of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves' multiplayer before that.

"I have in fact made the decision to leave Naughty Dog," Richmond told IGN. "I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward.

"On a happier note, after careful consideration and exploration I have joined Riot Games," he added. "There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can't wait to be a part of."

Richmond follows in the footsteps of creative director Amy Hennig, who also left the Naughty earlier this month. It was originally reported that Hennig was "forced out" of the studio by The Last of Us' Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, a rumor Naughty Dog co-presidents Evan Wells and Chrisophe Balestra sternly deniedUncharted 4's development is said to not have been affected by Hennig's departure.
