Now this is just flat out mean. The official Twitter account for Frostbite — EA's proprietary video game engine — has decided to join in on all of the April Fools' Day shenanigans. And they've done so at the Wii U's expense.
Frostbite now runs on the #WiiU since it is the most powerful Gen4 platform, our renderer is now optimized for Mario and Zelda.

What makes this "joke" funny, or mean rather, is the fact that Wii U doesn't support the Frostbite 3 engine. In fact, it's one of the many reasons many EA games, including Dragon Age 3, the next Mass Effect and future Star Wars games, aren't coming to the Wii U.
Making fun of Wii U owners wasn't enough though. Frostbite then set its sites on Valve fans, particularly those eager about Half-Life 3.
Frostbite will power #HalfLife3, coming out summer 2014! #WiiU exclusive.

And here's another tweet, just for good measure:
Good news, we have finally fixed and optimized our 'netcode'. Uses quantum entanglement for Zero Latency connections. Exclusively on #WiiU.

What do you think: were the tweets just harmless ribbing all in good nature or does Frostbite need to do some apologizing?
