The Last of Us Remastered PS4 release date wrong, says GAME

Earlier today, UK retail giant GAME tweeted out that The Last of Us Remastered, the PS4 port of Naughty Dog's critically acclaimed action-adventure, would be released next week. Turns out, a staff member for the retailer was a little too overeager and posed a miss print. At least, that's what GAME claims.

In a follow-up tweet, GAME backtracked on its initial announcement, writing: "Apologises everyone about [The Last of Us Remastered] Release Date! #MissPrint #OverEagerStaffMember. Will update you when we get an official date sorry!"

So either GAME accidently spilled the beans early and is now trying to cover it up, or someone really was overeager. Either way, Sony has yet to announce a release date other than the "summer 2014" window. Retailers, on the other hand, have leaked dates ranging from mid-June to end of July. So, basically any time this summer. How about we stop speculating on The Last of Us Remastered's release date and wait for an actual announcement for Sony.

The Last of Us Remastered will include the full game in 1080p along with a slew of upgrades including higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures, and more. It will also bundle the Abandoned Territories multiplayer map pack, the single player expansion, Left Behind, and the most recent Reclaimed Territories map pack.
