Everyone now has 15GB of free space on Microsoft’s OneDrive

If you're an Xbox One owner — or anyone who has a OneDrive account, really — you'll be happy to know that you now have more space available.

Microsoft today announced that it increased the amount of space available in OneDrive from 7GB to 15GB — for free. Previously, OneDrive users were given 7GB of space for their account with the opportunity to upgrade to 15GB if they performed certain requirements (like getting friends to sign up).

For those unfamiliar with OneDrive, it's Microsoft's cloud storage solution for all of your "stuff": your photos, videos, documents, and other files. If you're an Xbox One owner, OneDrive is the place that all of your greatest gaming moments are saved to.

In addition to all of this free space, all versions of Office 365 will come with 1TB of OneDrive storage. And, Microsoft is dropping storage prices by over 70 percent. It'll now cost $1.99 per month for 100GB (previously $7.49) and $3.99 for 200GB of storage (previously $11.49). All of these updates will take effect next month.
