Oh Major Nelson, you're such a tease. Responding to a post on Reddit labeled "No one knows what the July Games with Gold is," Nelson replied coyly: "Some people do :)"

"And you will as well. Soon," he teased.

Given that we're approaching the end of June, it's reasonable to expect that July's free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games would be announced soon. Whether that means today or tomorrow or Monday remains to be seen however. As they say in Spaceballs, "When will then be now?"

The Games with Gold program — which rewards Xbox LIVE Gold members with free games each month — has been running on Xbox 360 for over a year now, but just began for Xbox One this month. A single Xbox LIVE Gold subscription allows gamers to download two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games per month, as selected by Microsoft. For June, Xbox One owners were treated to Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault, while Xbox 360 owners got Dark Souls, Charlie Murder, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.

What games would you like to see offered in July?

On a sidenote, Sony yesterday revealed its lineup of free PS Plus games for July. Here they are.
