Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has confirmed that Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood, one of June's free Games with Gold for Xbox One, will remain free to download throughout July for Xbox LIVE Gold members.
Keeping Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood free means Xbox LIVE Gold members will only get one new Xbox One game for free next month. That game will be Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, which is actually making its console debut next month. It will be replacing Halo: Spartan Assault, which was another of June's free Xbox One games.
So while we're still being offer two free games for Xbox One in July, only one of them is technically new. I guess it's good if you haven't downloaded Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood yet, but I'm sure I'm not the only one disappointed by the fact we're only getting one free game.
