PlayStation 4 architect Mark Cerny, who also directed Knack, one of the system's launch titles, is working on a new PS4 game with his personal studio.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Cerny described it as "sort of an indie title," but didn't go into much more detail.
"It's not really indie because it'll be fully funded," Cerny acknowledged. "But it'll be nice to be on a project where I know the name of everybody on it, as opposed to one of these largest triple-A titles that staffs hundreds. It's a very different experience. Also you get to try more concept-based work because it's smaller. That should be very exciting."
Although Cerny played a key role at PlayStation during the design of the PS4, he technically isn't a member of Sony's staff. Rather his California-based studio, Cerny Games, will focus on creating games as that's what he prefers. "I like making games and I like playing games, so yes, that's what I'm doing now," he added.
