Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) will be released on September 23, 2014, Disney Interactive announced today.
As the "2.0" indicates, Marvel Super Heroes is a sequel to 2013's Disney Infinity. It introduces all new super-powered Marvel Play Sets along with other characters from various Disney universes. The popular Toy Box mode also makes a return with enhanced features and built-in mini games.
The announcement of the game's release date also means the official launch of the pre-order program. Starting today, anyone who pre-orders the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack will receive a Disney Infinity: Marvel Super figure. Disney Interactive has also confirmed that all characters and power discs from last year's Disney Infinity will be compatible with the Marvel Super Heroes Toy Box.
