Microsoft's amazing promotion, in which you can buy and Xbox One and select any game of your choice to get for free, ends today. So consider this a friendly reminder that if you want to jump to the next-gen, now's probably the best time to do it.
The sale has been ongoing all week, but for those who need a little bit more explanation, here's how it works: go to a participating retailer (Amazon, for example), select an Xbox One of your choice (you can even select a bundle), and then select the game you want for free. Amazon, which I've already tested, will automatically apply the free game discount at check out.
As I mentioned, there's no restrction on tthe game you choose. If you want Destiny, you can get it. If you want Madden NFL 15, it's yours. What if you want them both? Well, then buy the Xbox One Madden NFL 15 Bundle and then choose Destiny as your free game. There's absolutely no restriction in the Xbox One bundle or game you can choose.
So if you're tired of last-gen graphics. now is probably the best time to upgrade. Of course, there will probably be some pretty enticing deals this holiday season if you have the patience to wait.
