2K has shared all-new details on WWE 2K15's new career mode, MyCareer, and it sounds freaking awesome.
Available only in the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game, the new mode — a first in WWE games history — will "take players through the life of a prospective WWE Superstar, allowing them to experience the journey of being a rookie and working toward the ultimate goal of winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship."
“MyCareer is a mode beloved by our NBA 2K fans and is a perfect fit for WWE 2K15,” says Visual Concepts' President Greg Thomas. “We are eager to deliver a comprehensive career mode experience for the first time and consider its inclusion a critical step forward for the franchise.”
You'll begin MyCareer by taking the characters you've created in WWE 2K15's Creation Suite to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida where you'll be trained by former WWE Superstar and WWE Performance Center coach Bill DeMott. Completing these objectives will then take you to to compete at NXT, WWE's development system for rising young talent. Here you'll be greeted with matches and new objectives, along with a roster of new and future WWE Superstars, including Rusev, Bo Dallas, Sami Zayn and Corey Graves.
From there, you'll move up to WWE's main roster, where General Manager Vickie Guerrero will set matches and offer ultimatums designed to gain bonus rewards. You'll develop alliances and rivalries while competing to win spots on WWE pay-per-view events and its flagship shows like Monday Night Raw and Smackdown.. And, of course, you'll compete for the United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship. The most successful players can compete at SummerSlam and WresleMania for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The decisions you make along the way, including alliances, rivalries, and social media interactions, will impact player personality traits and crowd reactions. As you progress through the mode, you'll also have opportunities to upgrade your wrestler's attributes, acquire new abilities, skills and moves, earn new clothing, and unlock managers. These decisions, coupled with your win/loss record, will lead to "multiple branching storylines, surprises, twists and turns," resulting in some significant replay value.
The Xbox One and PS4 versions of WWE 2K15 are due out on November 18,2 014.
