101 Ways to Die bringing sadistic experimentation to PS4

Physics-based and ostensibly gory puzzler 101 Ways to Die will bring the death of countless Splatts to PS4 later this year.

Affectionately summed up as “reverse-Lemmings,” the game stars a crazed Professor and you, his assistant, on a quest to recreate the book of 101 Ways To Die, to the misfortune of the Splatt creatures created for your experimentation.

Impale them on spikes, toss them in lava, crush them with boulders—oh, the horrible things you’ll do to the defenseless, innocent Splatts. And as Simon Barratt said on the PlayStation Blog, you’ll have plenty of tools for the job.

“More complex combinations will require the player to exercise both a sense of positioning to get the Splatt into the right place, and timing its misfortune well. For example, consider Airborne—where a Splatt flies from one bumper (a kind of swinging log) to another, then is impaled by a harpoon and shot into a fan that pushes them against a wall.”
