11 bit studios’ secret game was Anomaly 2! Morphing vehicles included

Anomaly: Warzone Earth was one of those unique games that managed to turn the stale Tower Defense genre on top of its head, and completely rework its gameplay. Instead of trying to take down enemies by strategically placing towers along a given path, you're the one trying to survive the onslaught of towers. And hey, we loved it!

Anomaly saw a sequel/spin-off with Anomaly Korea, but this time 11 bit studios is delivering a fully fledged sequel with Anomaly 2. The sequel boasts some sweet upgrades that fans of the first will truly appreciate. First off, morphing! That's right, morphing units! No longer are your vehicles confined rolling along and taking hits. They can now morph into badass mechs with some intense firepower. Your enemies will never see it coming. Check out the debut trailer above.

What's even more badass about Anomaly 2 is the inclusion of an all new multiplayer mode where two players can now play against each other, one in true Tower Defense mode, while the other tries to survive it. Bliss.

The sequel is scheduled to come out in Q2 of 2013, which isn't that far off thankfully, because after seeing that footage, I'm not sure I can wait any longer! Make sure to stay tuned for more coverage on this anticipated title.
