11-year-old finds bag of meth in used copy of GTA V

Sometimes life imitates art and in this case, life is imitating Grand Theft Auto 5’s Trevors best dream – a goodie bag of meth nestled inside of something else. A Florida mom is claiming that the pre-owned copy of Grand Theft Auto V that she purchased for her 11-year-old son came with a plastic bag filled with meth.

The mother, Kayla McAllister, detailed that her son was looking through the game’s manual while it was installing and discovered the bag of meth, gently nestled between the manual’s pages. The enraged mother took to Facebook to reveal the discovery.

“Today i took my son to gamestop in Tallahassee to trade in games and get some new ones. When he opened the booklet inside one of the pre owned games he ( MY ELEVEN YEAR OLD SON!!!!!!!) found this. A baggie of fucking meth! Clearly the game was not properly checked when it was traded in and because of the carelessness i could have lost a child. Thankfully He brought it right to us and said what is this?”

After finding the bag of meth, McAllister called the police who verified it was indeed meth.

Here’s the police report, as obtained by Kotaku:

“Deputy Larry Smith … was dispatched to [redacted] to meet complainant (Kayla McAllister) in reference to possible narcotic found in a game case that was purchase from Game Stop in Tallahassee on 05-07-17. Upon arrival, Ms. McAllister handed over a Wells Fargo envelope with a small zip lock bag with white substance inside of it. At the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office the white substance was field tested by Deputy Dallas Richardson and witness by Deputy Kevin Faircloth with a return of purple and blue. These colors are positive for narcotic (Methamphetamine). The zip lock bag weight was 6 grams without packaging.”

Once the police verified the claim, McAllister called GameStop, the company that sold her the used game, to complain. GameStop’s manager offered to replace the game, but McAllister declined.
