CD Projekt Red has released a sweet new gameplay video about their insanely-hyped sci-fi-RPG title Cyberpunk 2077. In the course of about 15 minutes, the developer shows off never-before seen aspects of the game. Make sure to check it out here!

The Polish developer teased this new gameplay walkthrough last week, but taking into consideration the last time fans got to see long chunks of gameplay was literally a year ago, it’s only understandable that gamers have gone crazy for the footage.

The major focus of the Deep Dive video is Pacifica. One of the six unique districts of Night City, Cyberpunk’s large open-city game world. The district is the perfect embodiment of  the cyberpunk setting. Originally created as a beautiful tourism spot, economical troubles led to the place falling into disarray, and gangs occupying the disctrict. Now, two dangerous rival gangs are vying for control over it. The Voodoo Boys and the Animals. The former are using hacking and cyberspace as their preferred tools with the later relying on brute force and body enhancements that enhance it.

Without going to much into spoiler territory, our hero V ends up taking a contract from the Voodoo Boys and has to infiltrate the hideout of the Animals to learn what they are up to. The demo shows two very different playstyles how to complete this mission. One way is obviously to run in guns blazing and destroying everybody that is on your path. A perfectly fine choice and the action combat looks very fun indeed. But it’s the second, more stealthy playstyle that shows off the cyberpunk setting at its best. You can hack enemy turrets to attack gang members, open up secondary paths and circumvent confrontation and even hack enemies themselves.

The gameplay walkthrough also broadly goes into customization and RPG mechanics, so we definitely recommend watching the entire video. You might also catch a glimpse of a certain breathtaking person. If you can’t get enough of the game, there’s also a discussion round with the developers that goes into the mechanics in greater detail here. Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out next year, on April 16 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
