1TB Xbox One listed for summer release

Spanish retailer Lamee has listed a new Xbox One featuring 1TB of hard drive space for a Summer 2015 release. The listing has been since removed, but it referred to the new Xbox One as "Basic 1TB Xbox One" in the listing, and suggested that the console will release as soon as June 23!

Judging by the image, the Basic 1TB Xbox One will not be sold with the Kinect accessory. If there's a Basic+ version, you can expect a Kinect and a higher asking price for the 1TB version (both of which will have a higher price point than the standard 500GB Xbox One).

Is Microsoft really planning to release the Basic 1TB Xbox One?

They would be silly not to. 500GB of room on the Xbox One is simply not enough. Offering a 1TB option, especially with this push to digital downloads, would be a smart move. In the past, Microsoft released around seven versions of the Xbox 360. Most were phased out of production when they sold out, but what it shows us is that Micrsoft will always feature a better version of their console as it ages.

It seems a little soon, considering that we aren't even two years since launch – but it will probably sell well. Now, where's the 1TB PS4 Slim announcement?
