UK retailer GAME has unveiled the 20th Anniversary PlayStation Steelbook, a limited edition case designed to celebration PlayStation's 20th anniversary in the country.
Available for pre-order now for £59.99, the steelbook comes bundled with a £20 PlayStation Store voucher, 12 months of PS Plus membership and a collector's booklet. It doesn't offer any sort of savings, as a year of PS Plus costs £39.99, but it's what you can win from the Steelbook that makes it worth the purchase.
While collector's will find value in the rarity of 20th Anniversary PlayStation Steelbook itself (only 20,000 copies are being made), five lucky winners will find a Golden Ticket packed in their case. It's just like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory except you win a 20th Anniversary Edition PS4 console instead of a tour through the most magnificent chocolate factory in the world.
The new PS4 model, announced back in December, comes in the same 'Original Grey' finish as the very first PlayStation that launched back in Japan on December 3, 1994. The 20th Anniversary Edition PS4 console is even more rare than the GAME-exclusive Steelbook as just 12,300 consoles will be released worldwide.
