It still feels a little strange that Duncan Jones, who created the nuanced and startling Moon, is doing the Warcraft movie. The tones for those two projects are at polar ends of the narrative field, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. A director that can flex between low budget, small cast features and a $100mm+ ensemble film based off an established franchise is someone with a lot of talent and it’ll be interesting to see how Jones pulls it off.
After the trailer leaked back in late August Jones was joking around with fans via Twitter about the low quality leak but since then the official hi-def trailer hasn’t been forthcoming, however, new Warcraft stills have appeared via Empire showing off Sir Anduin Lothar, Durotan and Orgrim Doomhammer.
