Oh boy! Ubisoft’s highly-anticipated return to their historic open-world action-adventure series experienced a major leak. An entire half-hour of gameplay footage of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been made available and is making its rounds throughout the internet.
Ubisoft is naturally trying to take down these videos right now, but there are still re-uploads that are live. While finding a mirror of this leak on Youtube ought to be very difficult by now, here’s a working upload. If you want to see Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in action, this is probably your best bet.
Karma can be a real pain in the butt. And Ubisoft is the latest in the line of companies that is experiencing this. After a wildly lackluster gameplay reveal during the last Inside Xbox event, many fans of the series were thoroughly disappointed by Ubisoft’s understanding of the word gameplay. It even led to Microsoft and Ubisoft issue statements where they acknowledged their mistakes.
But the damage was done and for a while Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was being talked about for the wrong reasons only. Ubisoft promised to fulfill the wishes of gamers in their dedicated online game showcase event Ubi Forward that’s going to take place this Sunday. But it looks like someone with access to the game had other plans.
An unexpected and massive gameplay leak that is clocking in at a whopping 30 minutes has gone public. It shows various aspects of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in great detail. From missions to locales, combat to RPG elements. Naval action to customization. Everything is laid bare here. One particular aspect of it is that we are witnessing the female playable character Eivor for the first time.
We can’t imagine Ubisoft being happy about this leak. Especially since it happened so close to their hyped own event. Tune in this Saturday, July 12th, to learn more official information about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in the Ubi Forward event.
