343 Industries hires Jeremy Cook (Halo Wars 2) as new Art Director

While it hasn't been officially announced, it appears that 343 Industries has hired artist Jeremy Cook as the team's new art director. Cook has previously worked on other games, most notably Halo Wars 2, the RTS game, but has also worked at Blur Studios, iD software, and even the acclaimed ILM. Judging by his art (the image in the header), Mr. Cook clearly gets the "classic" aestheticĀ of the Halo franchise.

Again, nothing has been formally announced by 343, but if you view Cook's ArtStation and Twitter page, you'll see he's updated both to reflect what appears to be his new, current employer. What does this mean for Halo 6? Hopefully a return to a more classic feel and less of what 343 has done with the last two games. With this addition to the art team and 343's recognition that Halo is more about the Chief than anything else, hopefully, Halo 6 will be a step in the right direction.
