RIVE is attempting to be a bit of a genre-bender by combining platforming and shooting mechanics to create a game that lets you shoot in all directions, creating what developer Two Tribes calls a "dance of destruction." The trailer above showcases Roughshot, the space scavenger and protagonist of RIVE's story alongside DLL, your robotic companion who you can apparently shoot whenever you feel like shutting him up. Both characters are voiced by Mark Dodson, who is known for his work on the movie Gremlins and the Star Wars spinoff film, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor.
