3DS update adds folders, patches

Nintendo will release a new system software update for 3DS on April 25.
The update will allow users to create and name folders on the system's home menu, making it easier for users to organize their games, demos, and videos. Each folder can store up to 60 items.
It will also allow for "select software," such as Mario Kart 7, to be patched. An update for the game will arrive in mid-May, which promises to resolve "shortcut exploits" in the game.
Finally, the update will provide users "helpful recommendations" when visiting the 3DS eShop.
