40,000 sign petition for Danny DeVito to voice Detective Pikachu

That game company recently released the first trailer for Detective Pikachu, that has players teaming up with Pikachu to uncover mysteries. One of the biggest takeaways from the trailer was that Pikachu was gifted with a surprisingly deep voice.

The entire trailer was in Japanese, so we have yet to hear how the English voice actor for Pikachu sounds, but there are some people on the web who have an idea of what they want: Danny DeVito.

A Change.org petition has surfaced with over 40,000 signatures, aimed at Nintendo of America and Game Freak with the goal of making Danny DeVito the voice of the Enlish version of Pikachu. The petition's letter reads as follows:

LETTER TO

Nintendo

Nintendo of America

Game Freak

Get Danny DeVito to Voice the English Version of Detective Pikachu

Seeing as there is no period at the end of the word Pikachu, I'd like to imagine the letter goes on to include a 'please' and 'thank you.'
