40 seconds of Hellraid’s action-packed gameplay

Last month, Dead Island developer Techland formally unveiled their new game, Hellraid. The first-person co-op slasher originally started as an "internal weapon mod for Dead Island," so if today's trailer reminds you of Techland's zombie survival, you now know why.

The video above is the first we've seen of Hellraid which consists of a heavily story-driven single-player campaign in addition to a multiplayer component. Today's video doesn't do much to emphasize the story, which revolves around the armies of Hell bringing pain and destruction to man, but it's sure got plenty of action.

Hellraid is expected to release in 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
