45 second Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer to debut during Super Bowl

Finally!

With just three months until release, fans are getting very nervous about the state of Disney’s Solo: A Star Wars Story. The film has had a very troubled development and outside of some vague set photos, we haven’t seen a single thing of substance from the film.

It appears that’s about to change, though. The rumors are true, a 45-second TV spot for Solo: A Star Wars Story will hit tonight during the second quarter of the Super Bowl. There’s no indication on what the trailer will show but a leaked sheet (via reputable source MakingStarWars) showing the order of the ads that will play during the Super Bowl revealed when we’ll get our first look at Han Solo’s origin story.

While this may seem like a short first look, rumors have been circulating for the last week that a full-blown trailer will drop on Good Morning America this week. This will likely be the official confirmation, giving us a brief tease and then telling us to tune into ABC’s morning show tomorrow morning for the full thing.

Fans are anxious to see how this turns out after the incredibly divisive Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the public ousting of the original directors on Solo. Phil Lord and Chris Miller had nearly finished the film before Disney fired them for making it too comedic, the studio then brought in Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard to reshoot a vast majority of the film. The film has been under a tight crunch, finishing shooting in October and quickly being rushed into post-production so it can hit its May 2018 release date.

Soon we’ll now just how much of the trouble was worth it when Disney unveils our first glimpse at the movie.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25th, 2018.
