Before we even saw the official trailer for Assassin's Creed, Kernel – a company that specializes in movie ticket pre-orders and ticket bundles, was already offering a number of pre-order bundles for the movie. Most notably, the service is offering a $1,200 bundle that comes with a limited edition crossbow.
In addition to the $1,200 package, there were more reasonably priced pre-order bundles: a $120 package with a hoodie, a $60 package with a toy hidden blade, a $25 package with a shirt, and a $15 package with temporary tattoos, a watch and script.
While we can internally debate whether or not pre-order bundles for movie tickets are necessary, there's no denying one thing: people are buying it.
The middle of the line bundle, the $50 'Special Edition Assassin's Creed Kernal Crate,' has sold out. This bundle included a movie ticket, a Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure, plus 4-6 curated collectible – including an action figure signed by Todd McFarlane. On top of that deal being sold out, at least five people have purchased the $1,200 crossbow bundle.
That's five people that spent $1,200 to go see Assassin's Creed.
