7″ Wikipad to make its debut in Spring 2013

Wikipad Inc. has announced that come Spring 2013, you'll be able to buy the 7" Wikipad tablet for $249. What is the Wikipad? Picture a large, touch screen device that has the ability to play triple A games. The tablet will have an attached controller which will allow you to control games like they were meant to. Though it does look like an oversized Gamegear to me.

“We wanted to get Wikipad into our community’s hands and what we found was that the smaller 7” form factor just seemed right,’” said Fraser Townley, President of Sales, Wikipad, Inc. “The smaller frame delivers an aggressive price while keeping the same amazing specs.”

On the inside, the Wikipad will have 16GB of built in memory with a Micro SD slot to support an additional 32GB. It's also powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor and it is optimized for cloud gaming.

Google Play, PlayStation Mobile, Big Fish Games, OnLive and TegraZone will all have titles available on the Wikipad.
