76% of DC Universe Online players play on a PlayStation console

76 percent of DC Universe Online's playerbase is playing the MMORPG on a PlayStation platform. Of that number, 57 percent on playing on PS4.

"It's a significant amount of people from our playerbase that have actually adopted the PS4," said creative director Jens Anderson. "We did a massive restructuring of the game when we did this and treated like a relaunch. And it was hugely successful for us and a much more enjoyable experience for our players coming into the game."

Combined, the two versions are helping make DCUO the number one revenue generating free-to-play title on PSN, Sony Online Entertainment revealed at SOE Live 2014. Not bad for a game that started off as a PC-based subscription MMO.

In case you missed our earlier reports, SOE also announced they will be changing the way in which they release DLC for DCUO, and also adding a Legends PvE mode.
