The Sims 3 Supernatural, a new expansion pack set to launch in September, is filled with magic, mystery, and mischief. It's also filled with werewolves, witches, vampires, zombies, and fairies. While we've already had the hairy details of the werewolf explained to us, EA today gives us a closer look at the fairy and zombie.
Described as "fickle and magical supernaturals", fairies are an innate connection to the natural world. In the game, they appear as human-like creatures with wings, but will be able to transform in to their true fairy form which resembles a small, glowing insect. Customization options include the shape and color of their wings to the pointiness of their ears. As for their special abilities, fairs can bestow gifts to others and carry special auras that increase their skills.
Not everything in The Sims 3: Supernatural is glittery, however. We also have zombies who crave two things: brains and grains. No one is immune to a zombie bite – be it other Sims or their planter boxes. A bite from a zombie can leave you with temporary or long lasting effects.
Unlike the fairies, zombies can not be created in Create a Sim, but there are other ways to become a mindless, shuffling zombie. Outside of the typical zombie attack bite, you can use the alchemy table to brew a zombification elixir and throw it at another Sim.
The Sims 3 Supernatural is set to launch worldwide in September 2012. Those who pre-order the game will receive a special Limited Edition version which features the exclusive Plants vs. Zombies content pack.
