The Star Wars Celebration going on right now has brought on a ton of new information about the franchise. While much of the focus has been (unsurprisingly) on Rogue One, David S. Goyer stopped by to drop a reveal about a potentially major project he is currently working on, a Darth Vader VR movie.
Hell yes.
The Darth Vader VR movie is set to be an original story that will be officially counted as canon and let its viewers become an active part of the experience. Said Goyer:
"You are the visitor in this story that is happening in and around you, and to a certain extent you might even have some effect on. You can pick up things, you can open things. You can push things, you can walk. You can touch characters."
Goyer also revealed that the movie will take place in a "persistent world" that will have a day and night cycle to further invest the viewers into the story that will even continue after you have left the story. Oh and the best part? It's ALL about Darth Vader (but you probably guessed that).
Also, the Darth Vader VR movie may be closer to release than you think. Goyer said:
"I'm really, really excited for a year or two, whenever it happens, and you guys get to experience what we're working on. It's pretty mindblowing."
Shut up and take my money.
