A fresh batch of screenshots for the recently announced Payday 2

Just a day after announcing Payday 2, a sequel to the bank robbing first-person shooter Payday: The Heist, developer Overkill Software and publisher 505 Games have released a batch of screenshots highlighting a few of the heists you can take part in. Judging strictly by the original image name and contents of the screenshots, it seems two locations of heists will take place in a shipping dock and a jewelry store.

It seems these are just a taste of the areas you'll hit up as a new CRIMENET network will offer a huge range of dynamic contracts that you are free to choose from. These will range from robbing small-time convenience stores to breaking into major bank vaults. Once again, you will be playing as the original Payday crew — Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains — as they "descend on Washington D.C. for an epic crime spree."

Payday 2 will also support four player co-op. Unlike its predecessor, which was only available on PS3 and later on PC, Payday 2 will be available on all three major platforms: Xbox 360 (via XBLA), PS3 (via PSN), and PC (via Steam). It is due out in Summer 2013.
