Remember when Pokemon GO was everywhere? It feels like the craze was so long ago, but for one grandmother over in Japan, it's just beginning. After receiving a smartphone as a gift from her grandchild, she learned about Pokemon GO and tried it out for herself. As it turns out, she got so addicted to the game that she began going on longer and longer walks.
Eventually, she told her friends about it, and they bought smartphones as well. They began going out for long walks in groups, just to catch Pokemon. The interesting thing is that their overall health improved, according to their doctor, as a result of increased leg strength.
While this is certainly, one of the many expected benefits of Pokemon GO, it's worth noting that as the group's walks became longer and longer, family members grew concerned as their loved ones would disappear for hours without nearly a word. All to simply catch Pokemon.
