Night Dive Studios is apparently planning to start a Kickstarter for a remaster of cult classic, System Shock, and the Kickstarter will kick off on June 29.
System Shock was originally developed by Looking Glass Technologies back in 1994 and an enhanced edition was released on September 2015 by Night Dive Studios, but now it seems like Night Dive wants to make a full remaster of System Shock.
A video on their Facebook page shows that Night Dive is planing on starting a Kickstarter for the remaster of System Shock on June 29. The video doesn't say much more than that a Kickstarter will begin for System Shock on June 29, no word on how the remaster will be done, what will be changed, what will stay, or anything like that has come out yet.
It's starting to look like System Shock is starting to come alive again with a System Shock 3 in development and now a Kickstarter for a remaster of the original game.
A remaster might be the perfect opportunity for those of us who never player the original System Shock, the game who inspired the modern day classic Bioshock. MoreĀ info on what the remaster will bring and possibly the release date will come when Night Dive Studios reveals their Kickstarter.
