A look at this week’s free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt DLC

Another week, which means it's time for another batch of free downloadable content in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Continuing to deliver on their promise of free content for their critically acclaimed RPG, CD Projekt Red revealed today this week's free DLC — the Nilfgaardian Amor Set and Elite Crossbow Set.

While there's no exact date, CD Projekt Red says these two pieces of content will be available for download sometime later this week.

As a reminder, these are packs 5 and 6 of the planned 16 free DLC packs for The Witcher 3. Last week's bundle came in the form of a new quest (Contract: Missing Minders) and cosmetic option for Yennefer, while the first week's content offered the Temerian Armor Set for Geralt (horse armor included, which is undoubtedly a dig at Oblivion's infamous horse armor), as well as a set of new beards and hairstyles for Geralt.

The reamining DLC packs will be released on a weekly basis throughout June and July.

Beyond the free DLC, CD Projekt Red plans to support The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with two "massive" expansions — "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine" — that are included in the game's Season Pass for $24.99.
