A Star Wars cast member may have spoiled the fate of a Rogue One character

Today kicked off the start of Star Wars Celebration 2016, a massive event for Star Wars fans where all the upcoming films, books, games, and other Star Wars media get detailed among other things. It's all very special and we get details from films such as Rogue One straight from the cast and crew! However, some actors don't seem to understand the secracy surrounding the film and since it's all live things sometimes get said that shouldn't be said.

On the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story panel actors Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen were asked to talk more about their characters who are sort of polar opposites to each other although they are on the same side and want to accomplish the same task, destroy the Empire. Donnie Yen detailed his character and then tossed the mic to Wen who explained English isn't his first language so his English is farily broken. As he started talking, he started talking about his weapon of choice which is a "huge gun". He then dove into major spoilers, whether he realized it or not. If you don't want Rogue One: A Star Wars spoiled for you, leave the page NOW.

Speaking about the relationship between Yen and Wen's character, Wen had this to say. “He and me was a partner and he believe of course, believe in Force," Jiang said. "But my character don’t believe Force at that time. But I pretend all of them, not them, just them, to do very, very big mission. I cannot say that. And when this guy dead, I do something better. Maybe I believe, by my action, he’s thinker, I’m doer."

The host of the panel and star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Game of Thrones, Gwendoline Christie quickly interupted him saying "I think you've gotta leave it there!". So, it's safe to say he probably wasn't supposed to say the part about Yen's character straight up dying. Hopefully, Yen's death isn't supposed to be super impactful otherwise we will have seen it coming 5 months ahead of time!

In other news, a brand new behind the scenes look on the film has been released alongside a brand new poster which shows off a massive battle on a planet below the looming Death Star.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story releases December 16th, 2016.
