The daredevil game Joe Danger is finally braving the mobile scene.
Developer Hello Game has confirmed that Joe Danger Touch, a new version of the console game built from the ground up for mobile devices and tablets, is arriving on the App Store this month, according to CVG.
Managing director Sean Murray insists it's not a port. Instead, it features new stages and characters.
Players can challenge friends through Game Center and buy additional characters through in-app purchases if they don't want to take the time to unlock them.
"I want it to feel like it could only work on iOS because we've built it specifically for the device," Murray told CVG. "Towards the end of the game, it gets super difficult, probably more so than the console version. I'm amazed what levels I can handle sometimes, and the subtlety possible with just a touch interface."
Hello Games released sequel Joe Danger 2: The Movie in fall 2012.
