Absurdist 1st-person adventure game, Maize gets an official release date alongside new teaser trailer

Finish Lines Games is nearing the…finish line…of development on their upcoming first person adventure game, Maize. The game was originally revealed earlier this year, but the developer has confirmed that the game will release in full later this year on December 1st, 2016. Maize explores a question that likely very few have ever pondered to themselves; what would happen if stalks of corn could walk and talk?

This is the reality that the player faces within the game, after two painfully inept scientists pour boatloads of government money into a secret underground government facility to convert corn into sentient life. The result is a hilariously highbrow onslaught of puns and (literally) colorful characters.

Oh, and there's also a Russian talking robot bear named Vladdy who takes just about every opportunity he can to remind you of how stupid you are. It's gonna be a good time.

Maize releases exclusively on PC on December 1st, 2016 on both Steam and the Humble Store.
