According to Mad Max, Half-Life 3 is dead

Avalanche Studios released Mad Max at the beginning of the month with a couple of Easter Eggs tucked away in the game. It turns out it took fans a bit longer than anticipated to discover an Easter Egg that poked fun at the death of our hopes and dreams.

Half-Life 3 has been… unconfirmed, due to the unfortunate demise of Gordon Freeman. Not only is Freeman dead, but he lost his arm – you can find it next to his crispy body on a box marked '3'.
