Ace Attorney returns to the stage in 2013 with all-female talent

Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney 3 will appear on stage in Japan come January 2013, announced Capcom.

The play marks the third venture by the all-female acting troupe Takarazuka Revue, who presented Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 2 in 2009 to a grand attendance of 50,000. The company is in charge of writing and production.

As in previous shows, the Takarazuka Cosmos Troupe will perform, and Kei Suzuki will handle the script and staging. Actor Hiro Yumi, who played the role of the rival in previous Ace Attorney productions, will now star.

Unlike past shows, Ace Attorney 3 will feature the prosecutor Miles Edgeworth (Reiji Mitsurugi in Japanese).

Showings will take place from January 9 to 17 at the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka and January 23 to 28 at Nippon Seinen-kan Hall in Tokyo.
