Activision bringing Call of Duty: Ghosts, Destiny, and Skylanders SWAP Force to E3

Activision has confirmed its E3 plans, and will usher in the next-generation of gaming at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo next week. On-hand at the publisher's booth will be three highly anticipated blockbusters: Call of Duty: Ghosts, Destiny, and Skylanders SWAP Force.

"This is obviously a big year — not just for Activision, but for the entire industry," said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. "There's a console transition coming and naturally, everyone wants to see what new possibilities that will unleash in the games. We remain laser focused on delivering the things we know our gamers care about most: great gameplay, immersive worlds, and cool innovations. And that's what our amazing lineup at E3 this year will deliver."

Call of Duty: Ghosts, developed by Infinity Ward, was first revealed during the Xbox One announcement event. Next-gen graphics and innovative gameplay aside, Ghosts will look to make tremendous leaps in storytelling with dramatic narrative penned by Academy Award-winner Stephen Gaghan.

Destiny, meanwhile is being developed in partnership with Bungie, the creators of Halo. Destiny brings first-person action to a shared, persistent online world. The game will look to offer grand adventures in a new universe filled with cooperative, competitive, public, and social activities, all seamlessly connected.

While we'll be going hands-on with these titles at E3 next week, viewers at home can get an early look at Call of Duty: Ghosts gameplay through a live broadcast — Call of Duty: Ghosts – All Access — hosted by Geoff Keighley and Justine Ezarik. This 30-minute presentation will feature first look at gameplay levels, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the Infinity Ward team. The broadcast will be streamed live on Callofduty.com and other various websites. Be sure to tune in on Sunday, June 9th at 11:00 am PT/ 2:00 pm ET.
