Activision dumps Xbox for PlayStation with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Activision and Microsoft has officially broken up. While this has been speculated for months now, it was officially confirmed tonight when Activision took the stage during Sony's E3 2015 press conference to showcase Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer on PlayStation 4 (in case you missed it, check out right here).

The new partnership between Activision and Sony marks the first time the critically acclaimed Call of Duty franchise will cater to PlayStation first over Xbox.

Starting with Black Ops 3, PlayStation owners will be the first to play all map packs from the series. Additionally, PS4 owners will be the first to play the upcoming multiplayer beta this August.

"PlayStation is the new home of Call of Duty," Sony's Andrew House proudly boasted.
