Activision providing free flash drives for last-gen Guardians to play Destiny: The Taken King

Hard drive issues? No problem

If you are playing Destiny on an Xbox 360 or PS3 and plan on picking up The Taken King this Tuesday, you may have realized that you are going to run out of hard drive space pretty quickly.  No need to freak out though as Activision is ponying up the storage space to you for free.

All you need to do is contact Activision support and inform them of the situation to get your flash drive sent out to you. It's a 32GB 3.0 flash drive that will help ease the transition for those planning to make the eventual jump to a PS4 or Xbox One. Since Destiny does not currently allow the game to be installed on a secondary drive, you will need to install the main game on your console first and await a patch in order to place the entire game onto the USB.

It's a nice gesture by Activision, but it's a little surprising to be honest. After all, most Xbox 360's now are of atleast the 250GB variety. Those who own versions with less capacity probably should have realized they weren't going to be able to get away with their space for that long. Besides, a 32GB USB flash drive costs about $10 now so it's not like you'll break the bank. But hey, if it's free it's for me so get it while you can. The Taken King launches this Tuesday, September 15th 2015.
