Activision teams up with Platinum for a Legend of Korra game

Well, the cat's out of the bag. Activision and Platinum Games have teamed up for a downloadable game based on The Legend of Korra animated series. While we have to wait until later this week to share our official hands-on preview, thanks to IGN, you can get a first glimpse at what the game will actually look like.

Players will take control of Korra, and utilize her bending skills in a story taking place between books 2 and 3, written by Tim Hedrick, who has previously written episodes of Legend of Korra on Nickelodeon.

The game is scheduled to appear on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Sadly, no word of a Wii U version. However, Nintendo fans aren't left in the cold, as there will be a 3DS game based on Korra, though developed by Webfoot Technologies, and will instead focus on tactical combat, versus fast paced combat present in the console/PC version.

Make sure to check back for our official hands-on with The Legend of Korra.
