Activision working on new Ghostbusters game for PS4 and Xbox One

Star Wars fans may have been left asking "Where's Rey" following The Force Awakens, but that won't appear to be the case with Sony's female-driven reboot of Ghostbusters. According to Retail Merchandiser, Sony is planning a whole wave of merchandise to launch alongside the upcoming film, including a "full-feldged" video game.

Activision is reportedly developing the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's worth noting that the report doesn't specifically state the game will focus on the new female cast of Ghostbusters, but considering the merchandise push comes alongside the reboot, I don't see why it wouldn't be related. The report does confirm that the game is not part of the toys-to-life game LEGO Dimensions, which recently had a playset based on the original cast release.

Activision has not officially announced anything yet.
