Adventure Time for the DS looks mathematical! Also a lot like Zelda II

The Mathematical duo embarks on their first adventure on Nintendo's handhelds, the 3DS and DS in the obnoxiously titled Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage ?! Fans of the show can no doubt be excited as Pendleton Ward himself is behind the story and the concept of the game. The concept had to stem from Pendleton's love for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, since the Adventure Time seems to be mimicking the gameplay almost entirely.

Everything from the overworld map complete with dark enemies that thrust you into a sidescrolling stage when touched seems to be intact from Zelda II. That's definitely not a bad thing as the game still looks absolutely phenomenal, and coming from someone who loves the show, I'm really glad that the developers opted for a 2D game with gorgeous sprites, rather than a 3D adventure.

Of course you can expect appearances from other famous Adventure Time characters such as Princess Bubblegum, the Ice King, Lady Rainicorn, Tree Trunks, Lumpy Space Princess, Marceline.

Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?! is slated to release Fall 2012, though an exact date has not yet been confirmed.
