After almost two years, NBA Live returns to the court tomorrow via a free demo

It's been a long road for the once great NBA Live franchise, but after essentially canning last year's game for an extra year of development, the series will be taking its first major step towards a return to the court. The NBA Live 18 demo will be dropping tomorrow for players with an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus account.

The demo will have multiple layers to it, with its main feature being a prologue section of the game's story mode called The Rise. Progress made in the demo can be transferred over to the main game. The demo will also have specially-timed Live Events which feature "special rules, rewards, and characters" associated with the game's story mode, The One. Any rewards you earn from Live Events will also carry over to the main game.

Naturally, players will also be able to get a taste of the standard gameplay via Play Now. The mode will be a shortened game between the NBA Finals participants, the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.

NBA Live 18 will bring the WNBA to the game for the first time ever when it releases on September 15th, 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One.
